Three-Dimensional Diagnostics (DVT/CBCT)
The foundation of every precise implant planning is three-dimensional imaging. Digital volume tomography (DVT) provides an exact representation of bone volume, bone quality, nerve pathways, and anatomical structures.
Data Fusion: Scan + DVT
For complete digital planning, the DVT data (bone) is digitally overlaid with the intraoral scan (tooth surfaces and soft tissue). This data fusion allows assessment of implant position in relation to all relevant anatomical structures.
Digital Implant Planning
Based on the fused data, the implant position is simulated in planning software: position, angle, depth, distance to nerves and adjacent teeth — all on screen before the first clinical measure is taken.
Guided Execution
The digital plan is implemented in surgery via two methods: Static navigation uses an individually fabricated surgical guide. Dynamic navigation monitors the position of the drill in real-time via an optical tracking system.
