CBCT Imaging of the Temporomandibular Joint
CBCT enables three-dimensional assessment of TMJ structures — condylar position, joint space width, and bony changes. These data cannot be completely captured with 2D radiographs and form the foundation of every TMD diagnosis.
Digital Joint Registration
Electronic axiographs and digital registration systems capture jaw movements with a precision that manual registration cannot achieve. The data is transferred directly into the planning software.
Virtual Articulator
Intraoral scan and joint registration data are merged in the virtual articulator. Occlusion is digitally simulated — before a splint or prosthetic restoration is fabricated. Errors in occlusion planning are detected before they become clinically relevant.
CAD/CAM-Fabricated Occlusal Splint
The occlusal splint is milled or printed based on digital planning. CAD/CAM-fabricated splints achieve an accuracy that hand-fabricated splints cannot reproducibly deliver. The digital process chain makes the result independent of the manual skill of the dental technician.
