Three-dimensional imaging (DVT/CBCT) is a prerequisite for every implant treatment. Only 3D diagnostics allow reliable assessment of bone volume, nerve pathways, and anatomical features. Conventional 2D X-rays alone are not sufficient for implant planning according to current scientific standards.

For complex implant restorations (multiple implants, reduced bone volume, immediate implantation), the planned position is transferred to the procedure using a surgical guide. Guided insertion demonstrably reduces deviations compared to manual technique and increases predictability of outcomes.

Only implant systems with published long-term studies of at least 10 years are used. Systems without sufficient clinical evidence — regardless of price — do not meet the Institute's quality criteria.

Conventional impressions with alginate or silicone are replaced by digital intraoral scanning technology. Dental restorations (crowns, bridges, veneers) are digitally designed (CAD) and milled or printed (CAM). This workflow increases fit accuracy, reduces try-ins, and shortens treatment duration.

Every patient receives a written cost estimate (HKP) before treatment begins, transparently listing all planned procedures, materials, and costs. A cost estimate without individual line items or with lump-sum positions does not meet the quality criteria.

Implants require lifelong aftercare. A defined protocol with fixed check-up intervals (at least annually), professional cleaning, and X-ray monitoring is a prerequisite for long-term implant success and early detection of peri-implantitis.

Written warranty terms protect patients in the event of implant failure or failure of the suprastructure (crown, bridge). Practices without written warranty conditions offer no verifiable quality commitment.

The treating dentist must demonstrate a verifiable additional qualification in implantology (e.g. DGZI, DGOI, ITI Fellowship) and digital dentistry. General dentistry without specialisation is not sufficient for complex implant restorations according to current standards.
