A complete dental prosthetics HKP contains: findings (current dental status), treatment plan (planned procedures), material specifications (ceramic, zircon, metal), insurance coverage and patient cost per position, total costs and validity period (usually 3 months). For implants additionally: implant dimensions, manufacturer and bone augmentation procedures.

KBR = dental bridge, ZE = dental prosthetics (general), KB = bone augmentation, KFO = orthodontics, ZK = dental crown. These abbreviations designate service categories in the Austrian insurance system. Your dentist must explain the meaning upon request.

Yes. You do not have to sign an HKP and can always get a second opinion. Only sign once you understand all positions and agree with the treatment plan.

An HKP in Austria is usually valid for 3 months. After that, it must be reissued, as findings or prices may have changed.
